The Company serves the infrastructure, construction, power and industrial sectors through a diversified product portfolio comprising structural steel items (beams, channels, flats, rounds and plates), engineering tools, machinery, hardware, equipment and other industrial products. As part of its strategic expansion, the Company has developed EPC capabilities in power transmission and distribution infrastructure, undertaking engineering, procurement, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of transmission lines, substations and associated electrical infrastructure on a turnkey basis, covering the complete project lifecycle from design to commissioning. The Company continues to focus on strengthening its execution capabilities, supply chain reliability, and quality and safety standards, while building a diversified and sustainable business platform aimed at long-term value creation for its shareholders and other stakeholders KEY ACHIEVEMENT DURING THE YEAR During the year under review, Ahmedabad Steel Craft Limited achieved a significant milestone in its power infrastructure EPC business by securing a major turnkey transmission line project from Jharkhand Urja Sancharan Nigam Limited (JUSNL), Ranchi, a Government of Jharkhand enterprise. The project relates to the development of the 132 kV Double Circuit (DC) Chandankiyari–ITI More, Chas Transmission Line, covering approximately 20.5 kilometres. The scope of the project broadly comprises designing, engineering, procurement and supply of materials/equipment, erection, testing and commissioning of the transmission line infrastructure on a turnkey basis. The awarded work encompasses the following key components: Supply of Equipment and Materials Contract – Designing, engineering and supply of requisite materials and equipment for the 132 kV DC Chandankiyari–ITI More, Chas Transmission Line (20.5 km), together with associated requirements for successful implementation of the project. Installation & Erection Contract – Installation, erection, testing and commissioning of the 132 kV DC Chandankiyari–ITI More, Chas Transmission Line (20.5 km) on a turnkey basis. The award represents an important advancement in the Company’s strategic expansion into the power transmission and distribution EPC segment and demonstrates its growing capabilities to participate in technically demanding infrastructure projects. The project is expected to further strengthen ASCL’s credentials in the power infrastructure sector and provide a platform for pursuing larger opportunities in transmission lines, substations and other power-sector EPC projects across India. Strategic Significance The JUSNL project represents more than an order addition for the Company. It marks an important step in ASCL’s evolution from its traditional steel and engineering activities towards becoming a diversified engineering and infrastructure enterprise with capabilities across supply, engineering and turnkey project execution. The Company intends to leverage the experience and credentials developed through such projects to enhance its qualification capabilities and participate in future opportunities arising from India’s continuing investment in transmission, distribution and grid infrastructure. The year represents an important phase in the Company’s journey as we continue to strengthen our established business in steel and engineering products while strategically expanding our capabilities in the power infrastructure and EPC sector. India’s continuing focus on infrastructure development, strengthening of transmission networks, expansion of renewable energy evacuation systems and modernization of the power sector is creating significant opportunities for capable engineering and infrastructure companies. We believe that ASCL is well positioned to participate in these opportunities by combining its experience in steel and engineering products with its developing capabilities in engineering, procurement, supply and project execution. A significant milestone during the year was the award of the 132 kV Double Circuit Chandankiyari–ITI More, Chas Transmission Line project of approximately 20.5 km by Jharkhand Urja Sancharan Nigam Limited (JUSNL), Ranchi, a Government of Jharkhand enterprise.
