Chairman’s Message
Dear Shareholders,
Against a backdrop of dynamic global shifts, the
financial year 2025–26 tested the resilience of
economies worldwide. The global economic
landscape maintained a steady course despite
persistent challenges, with broader growth
remaining resilient. However, the global
geopolitical situation remained complex, marked
by trade policy uncertainties and regional
tensions—such as the Middle East conflict—
which exerted pressure on global energy and
commodity markets. Despite these global
headwinds, the gradual easing of inflation and
the promise of new technological efficiencies
provided a stabilizing force.
Amidst this global caution, the Indian economic scenario has emerged as a beacon of stability
and robust expansion. Retaining its position as the fastest-growing major economy, India's
GDP growth for FY 2025–26 stood strong, estimated between 6.5% and 6.8%. This
momentum—which pushed the nation's nominal GDP to $3.92 trillion and solidified its rank as
the world's sixth-largest economy—was driven by resilient domestic consumption, sustained
government capital expenditure, and a thriving manufacturing sector.
It is within this broader context of global challenges and vibrant domestic opportunity that it is
my privilege to present to you the Annual Report for the financial year 2025–26.
The year under review was one of significant transition and course correction for your
Company. At the very start of the year, we undertook a major change in management to
address unsustainable legacy policies and to realign the business on a path of long-term
sustainability and profitable growth. While this inevitably impacted short-term performance, it
has laid the foundation for a stronger future.
During this pivotal year, we focused on strengthening the foundational pillars of Evans Electric
• Process Standardisation: Institutionalising robust systems, controls, and streamlined
workflows to ensure consistency and efficiency across operations.
• Environment Protection Initiatives: Introducing energy-efficient practices, reducing
waste, and establishing Environment Management System (ISO 14001:2026) to align
with global sustainability goals.
• Ethical Work Practices: Reinforcing a culture of transparency, fairness, and integrity
in all dealings with stakeholders.
• Strengthening Our Team: Building capabilities through training, leadership
development, and fostering collaboration across functions.
• Upgradation of Manufacturing Facilities: Investing in modern equipment and
technology to enhance productivity and quality standards.
• Safety Culture: Embedding safety as a non-negotiable value, with continuous
improvements in workplace safety systems and employee awareness.
In addition, your Company has diversified its portfolio by venturing into two promising new
verticals:
• Renewable Power Generation
• Specialised Component Manufacturing for Exports
We have already executed export orders and built a healthy pipeline of enquiries, giving us
confidence in sustained growth. The most challenging phase of this transformation is now
behind us. Evans Electric today is more agile, better governed, and well-positioned to
capitalise on emerging opportunities.
Looking ahead, we are committed to driving profitable growth while upholding our
responsibility to society and the environment. With a strengthened management team,
upgraded facilities, and a culture rooted in ethics and safety, we are confident of creating
long-term value for all stakeholders.
I take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to our shareholders, customers,
employees, bankers, suppliers, and partners for their trust and support during this
transformative journey. Together, we will embark on the next phase of growth with renewed
energy and optimism.
With warm regards,
Ivor Desouza
Chairman
