Dear Shareholders,
It gives me immense pleasure to present the Annual Report of your Company for the financial year
2025-26. This year has been a defining period for Lotus, marked by strategic resilience and
a steadfast commitment to our long-term vision.
The year witnessed strong volume growth, reflecting increasing consumer acceptance of our
products and the growing relevance of our portfolio across markets. This momentum is a clear
validation of our products, brands, and distribution strategy, and provides a strong foundation
for the next phase of growth.
However, the significant volatility in global cocoa prices resulted in muted value growth and
impacted profitability during the year. This was further influenced by the ongoing re-engineering
of our value chain as we transitioned towards a more integrated and scalable business model.
These near-term impacts are deliberate investments in building a stronger, more competitive, and
sustainable business for the future.
Looking forward, we are operating with a dual focus on capacity and connectivity. On one side,
we are significantly expanding our production capacities to support the rapid scaling of our
consumer business. Parallelly, we are in the process of building a robust, pan-India distribution
network for both our industrial ingredients and our B2C portfolio.
To complement these operational milestones, we are currently invested in a comprehensive
creative overhaul of our brand identity. This work in progress is designed to take Lotus to the
next level, ensuring we not only challenge the competition but also resonate more deeply with the
modern consumer.
Our journey is fuelled by a desire to innovate and a commitment to deliver excellence. On behalf of
the Board, I wish to express my deepest gratitude to you, our shareholders, for your unwavering
trust and support. We remain humble in our achievements and ambitious in our goals as we build
a future of sustainable growth and shared success.
Best wishes and regards,
Natarajan M. Venkataraman
