PhotonicGrid has been incorporated with the objective of building, owning, operating and maintaining fibre optic infrastructure networks and allied telecommunications infrastructure in India. The proposed network infrastructure will include multi-route fibre optic cable networks, dark fibre and duct infrastructure, data transmission systems, secured networks for special purposes, data centre interconnectivity, AI data-centre connectivity and other digital infrastructure solutions. The network infrastructure and associated managed services are proposed to be offered on long-term contracted arrangements to customers including hyperscalers, AI Companies, neocloud operators, data centre operators, telecom service providers and large enterprises, etc., subject to applicable regulatory approvals and commercial arrangements. Strategic Significance The incorporation of PhotonicGrid represents a strategic extension of Bondada Group’s established capabilities in the telecom and data centre infrastructure sector. While the Group has significant experience in telecom EPC, infrastructure deployment and managed services, PhotonicGrid is intended to take the Group further along the value chain by enabling it to build, own and operate fibre infrastructure assets and generate recurring revenues from their long-term utilisation. The Group’s existing telecom engineering and execution capabilities are expected to provide PhotonicGrid with an important execution advantage, enabling the Subsidiary to leverage in-house capabilities for network development and deployment. The business model is designed to create long-duration, contracted and recurring revenue streams from owned fibre infrastructure, thereby complementing the Group’s existing businesses and its growing portfolio of annuity-oriented infrastructure assets. PhotonicGrid is currently in the pre-operative stage and has not yet commenced commercial operations. Commercial operations will commence upon completion of the requisite statutory registrations, licences, approvals and other applicable requirements, including telecom authorisations, wherever required, under the regulatory framework administered by the Department of Telecommunications.
