A brief on types of customers The Company serves a diverse set of customers as mentioned below: • The Company serves customers through trade and non-trade segments. The trade segment primarily comprises dealers and retailers. Dealers procure cement from the Company and make the products available to retailers and customers within their respective markets. Retailers cater to the requirements of retail customers and facilitate the availability of cement at the local market level. Retail customers represent the end-user segment that purchases cement for residential construction, renovation and other building-related requirements. • The Company’s non-trade segment comprises institutional customers that procure cement directly for their construction and development activities. These customers primarily include real estate developers, infrastructure companies and government departments. Real estate developers purchase cement for residential, commercial and other real estate projects. Infrastructure companies procure cement for the development of roads, bridges and other infrastructure projects. Government departments may purchase cement for public construction and infrastructure development activities undertaken by them. • Accordingly, the Company’s customer base covers both trade and institutional segments. The trade segment includes dealers, retailers and retail customers, while the non-trade segment includes real estate developers, infrastructure companies and government departments.
