Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting
About this Report
This Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) aims to disclose our performance
against the nine principles of the ‘National Guidelines on Responsible Business Conduct’
(NGBRC). The BRSR is designed to help the investors and other stakeholders understand how
the business practices are adopted by Novartis India Limited in relation to the environment,
people and society. Each principle of the BRSR is further divided into Essential Indicators and
Leadership Indicators. Essential Indicators must be reported on a mandatory basis, while the
reporting of Leadership Indicators is voluntary. As this is our fourth year, we have disclosed
all Essential Indicators and opted for certain Leadership Indicators. As Novartis India Limited
is a trading entity, certain indicators do not apply to the company, due to the nature of its
operations. Therefore, we have identified and disclosed as “not applicable.”
The members are informed that certain disclosures are aligned with applicable policies of its
promoter, Novartis AG. Accordingly, the BRSR for the period ended March 31, 2026 has been
prepared with reference to these policies and therefore contains certain cross-references to
the promoter.
