The agreement is part of a Design Build Finance Operate Transfer (DBFOT) project through Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode. The concession agreement, along with a previous agreement for the reconstruction of Berth No. 8 and mechanization of Berths Nos. 7 and 8, will have an aggregate capacity of approximately 1.4 million TEU per annum.
